Default Axe question

Can axes hit more than one foe? I have honestly never used an axe but someone told me this.

no. There are certain axe skills like cyclone axe etc that can. Normal axe swings cannot.

No, they can't. The only weapon able to hit more than one foe is a scythe.

Covah means these skills: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Cyclone_Axe - http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Triple_Chop - http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Whirlwind_Attack

Also keep in mind Axes aren't the only weapon that can make use of AoE attack skills. Whirlwind Attack (linked above) can be used with any melee weapon.

scythes are the only weapons that can inherently hit more than one foe without a skill. can hit up to three and those targets have to be standing within a nice frontal radius of ur characters attack direction
